An even Trade

Monday morning, I sent out a Beckett trade to John Lamica. We each sent 75 cards worth $112.30.  Let’s see what he got.

Bowman Platinum

From 2022:  Francisco Lindor (#9), Bryson Stott (#24), Manny Machado (#45), and Yiddi Cappe (#TOP1).

Second row includes Joe Mack (#TOP28), Jack Suwinski (#TOP32), Niko Kavadas (#TOP48), and Noelvi Marte (#TOP56).

Bottom row starts with the last 2022:  Jackson Jobe (#TOP90).  Then, there are two from 2023:  James Outman (#53) and Ezequiel Tovar (#63).

2023 Topps Archives

A bunch of 2023 Topps Archives.  Commentary on the set?  The 2003 design looks good with today’s players as well as the older ones (see Mays below).  The 1965 and 1956 … I like the design, just not sure I like the way the cards played through.

Row 1:  Chipper Jones (#4), Derek Jeter (#11), Robin Yount (#15), and Ty Cobb (#22).

Row 2:  Thurman Munson (#24), Cal Ripken, Jr. (#25), D.J. LeMahieu (#28), and Nomar Garciaparra (#75).

Row 3:  Juan Soto (#90), Bo Jackson (#91), Miguel Cabrera (#126), and Mike Piazza (#139).

Row 4:  Jackie Robinson (#164), Randy Johnson (#179), Willie Mays (#214), and Yu Darvish (#282).

A Clemente Insert

The 2023 Archives set includes an insert set honoring the 1979 Topps Comics.  To be honest, I wasn’t overly impressed with last year’s inserts; and, there were several duplicates across two boxes.

I was glad to unload this Roberto Clemente insert (#79TC14).

2023 Pristine

From top left to bottom right:

Adrian Beltre (#57), Ernie Banks (#176), and a “Going, Going, Gone” Sammy Sosa insert (#GGG9).

2023 Topps Chrome

Top Row: Mike Trout (#27), Shohei Ohtani (#17), and Josh Jung (#93).

Bottom Row: Juan Soto (#100), Miguel Cabrera (#164), a Titans insert of Ronald Acuña (#CT5), and a prism refractor of D.J. LeMahieu (#153).

2023 Topps Update

Pictured:  Luis Arraez (#US1), Danny Mendick (#US23), Sean Murphy (#US33), Tim Herrin / Michael Kelly (#US45), Edouard Julien (#US46), Dylan Dodd (#US51), Ryan Walker (#US58), and Kyle Muller (#US64).

Not pictured:  28 other cards from this set.

Later this weekend, I’ll post what arrived today.  Ok, it was several days later that I made the post.  But, I did share it.
