Fastest Turnaround for a Trade Post?

First off, go check out my 20% off sale over on COMC.  Grab some Black Friday cards!

Last Monday, I sent out a trade from Yankee98 on Beckett.  The cards came today (Monday the 25th) and this may be the fastest I’ve ever posted the update of what arrived.

2000 Bowman Retro

I love this paralle set.  Left-to-right, it’s Jason Grabowski (#339, no relation), Greg Vaughn (#10), and Eddie Yarnall (#323).  As you can imagine, with a trader that has “Yankee” in his name, you’re going to see a lot of pinstripped players in this trade.

One Card at a Time...

This is the boring entry for this trade.  But, there were a few items to try and add to in-process sets.  Set building, one card at a time:  the Jeffrey Allen way.

Top row, left-to-right: 2008 Spectrum Alex Rodriguez (#64), 2017 Donruss Paul Goldschmidt (#46), 2020 Donruss Gerrit Cole (#115), and 2019 Bowman Platinum Jose Altuve (#5).

Bottom Row: Wade Boggs from 1994 Donruss (#36) and 1997 Topps (#8) and landscaped Bernie Williams 2000 Ultra (#234) and 2000 Upper Deck (#180).

Cool Cards

If the above is boring, this is the more exciting!  There were some fun, random sets here.

Top row, left-to-right:  2001 Topps Archives Reserve Bill “Moose” Skowron (#8), 2001 Ultra Decade of Dominance Frank Thomas (#8DD), 2003 E-X Bernie Williams (#47), and 2005 Studio Stars Sean Casey (#S-2).

Bottom row: 1996 Laser Roberto Alomar (#33), 1997 EX-2000 Eddie Murray (#3), 2003 Topps Shoebox George Foster (#53), and 1999 Fleer Rookie Flashback Eric Chavez (#5RF).

'90 World Series Flashback

No, it’s not a 2023 35th anniversary insert or 2021 Topps Heritage!

First card is a 2017 Topps Chrome All-Rookie Cup Reprint Mark McGwire (#TARC-4), 2021 Topps Chrome Béisbol Jesus Luzardo (#B-12), and a 2013 Topps Mini Eric Davis (TM-81).

Celebs

I do love cards of celebrities in baseball sets (see also: 2004 Donruss Fans of the Game).

The two cards on the left are from 2015 Topps First Pitch:  Tom Morello (#FP-11) and Kelsey Grammer (#FP-16).  On the right are 2005 Donruss Fans of the Game.  Top is Dean Cain (#FG-4) and below him is John McGinley (#FG-2).

Black and Gold

Three Black and Gold parallels from 2016 Bowman Chrome: David Dahl (#BCP175), Stephen Gonsalves (#BCP230), and Kohl Stewart (#BPC237).

I don't wanna grow up...

Finally, $0.20 worth of cards but love it!  The 1987 Toys ‘r’ Us set was pretty cool with the black border.  The 1989 version must have been the inspiration for Fleer’s 1991 flagship.  Regardless, Jeff Treadway (#31), Chris Sabo (#24), and Walt Weiss (#32).  The second 1990 World Series reference of this trade.

Sent 14, got back 32 so that’s not the direction I wanted to go.  A total of $33.40 in value traded hands.  Hopefully, another one happens soon and someone will take a bunch of commons off my hands!
