Think You Can Take Any Longer Getting Those Cards?

Back on January 28, I requested a shipment of cards from COMC.  I guess I’m not the only person selling cards there because they were seriously backlogged.  They finally arrived April 23rd; then, I took forever to post it.

They do not disappoint, though.  While it took a while to ship, they gave me a credit for free shipping of my next order.  Which, at one point had over 700,000 items in front it.  Yikes!

So, with apologies to John Paragon and Paul Rueben, here’s what I got!

2001 Bowman's Best

Not sure why, but one night, I started looking for the 2001 Bowman’s Best cards I needed.  Found several at significant discounts.  So many, in fact, that I accidentally bought two duplicates.  Maybe I’ll get a Beckett trade for them?

Any how, presenting:

Row 1:  Josh Hamilton (#115), Ben Broussard (#120, duplicate), Mike Bynum (#141), and Gary Johnson (#152)

Row 2:  Pedro Liriano (#153), Octavio Martinez (#158), Roberto Miniel (#165), and Andy Beal (#185)

Row 3: Sneideer Santos (#187), Chris Amador (#190), and Antoine Cameron (#193)

Row 4: Johnathan Johnson (#194, duplicated), Bjorn Ivy (#196) , Jerrod Riggan (#200)

2022 Bowman Chrome

Specifically, Aqua Raywave Refractors.  Ryan Vilarde (#14), Ryan Mountcastle (#91), and Eloy Jiminez (#1).

Originally, I had the Mountcastle for sale because, at the time, he was my only aqua raywave refractor.  Then, I got a couple others, liked them, and decided to bring it back home.  Only the second time I’ve changed my mind.

2003 Fleer Avant

I really like this set and I’m pretty close to finishing the base set.  I took one step closer with Richie Sexson (#46) and also got short-prints Hee Seop Choi (#79) and Jose Contreras (#78).

Cincinnati Reds Paralles

I should have gotten a red parallel of a Cincinnati Red, am I right??

First, a 2011 Topps “Platinum Diamond Anniversary” Ramon Hernandez (#233).  Then, home run legend Greg Vaughn from the International version of his 1999 Bowman (#230).  And, a 2020 Topps rainbow foil Wade Miley (#368).

On the second row, we start out with the obnoxious orange day-glow parallel of 2013 Topps Archives Bronson Arroyo (#132) and a 2015 Topps Chrome pink refractor of Yorman Rodriguez (#29).

Sapphire

Someone tell Cal Stone I’ve got sapphire!  Specifically, 2020 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Nick Lodolo (#BCP-39) and 2023 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Esteury Ruiz (#46)

That 70s Card

Not sure how I found this out, but Fred Stanley got a 2019 Topps Archives Fan-Favorites Auto (#FFA-FS).  He was with the Oakland A’s in the 1982 and 1983 Topps sets, if you wonder why I wanted this.

I saw the 1974 Topps Juan Marichal (#330) on The Shlabotnik Report and have had it marked for finding.  Side note: it was his blog that motivated me to start reposting.

I think it was this site that I got into my Facebook news feed that turned me onto the 1977 Topps John Lowenstein (#393).

Female Wrestlers

Not sure where I spotted the 2021 Finest Nikki A.S.H. (#27, refractor), but it’s a fun card.  The blue refractor of Candice LeRae (#78) from the same set was found on the site and bought.  I also got a 2021 Upper Deck AEW pyro parallel of Anna Jay (#28) because the firework-style parallel is awesome and, like, Dark Order.

2009 Topps WWE Legends

Got several Legends of the Ring inserts from 2009 Topps WWE.

First row: The Iron Shiek (#7), the man they call Vader (#17), and Bam Bam Bigelow (#1).

Bottom row: Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig (#11) and Jake “the snake” Roberts (#8).

Reds Chrome Inserts

A 2000 Topps Chrome All-Star Rookie Team Ken Griffey, Jr. (#RT7) and a 1999 Topps Chrome New Breed Paul Konerko (#NB13).  I love to remind Janet that it was the Reds that traded him to the White Sox

Topps Archives SP

I’m trying to finish all of the Archives sets.  But, the Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant rookies are going to make this a daunting task.

Two that I needed were 2014 Luis Gonzalez (#202) and 2012 Ed Kranepool (#235)

Miscellaneous

A 2023 Bowman Chrome Sights on September Elly de la Cruz (#SOS-7), a 2022 Bowman Sterling Euribiel Angeles (#BSP-88), and 2023 Bowman Sterling magenta Jordan Lawlar (#BSP-53).

And … 2012 Bowman “Bowman’s Best Prospects” Billy Hamilton (#BBP8), 2005 Topps Pristine Legend Vida Blue (#1), and a 2020 Topps Gold Label Class 2 A. J. Puk (#67)

The Bird!

I found a 2005 eTopps Classic Mark Fidrych (#ETC65).  I feel like the card is in upside down, as the uncirculated seal is usually at the top.

Jesus Lizard!!!!!

And finally ….

2020 Topps Inception red autograph / patch for Jesus Luzardo (#IAP-JL).  Yes, that’s the nickname Sarah and I have for him.

Another batch is slated to arrive this week and it’s even bigger than this 52 card shipment.  I’ll probably have to break it into multiple posts.  We’ll see.
