PSA Shipment: It’s Getting Better All the Time

My last shipment from PSA didn’t go as I had hoped.  The good news is that this batch returned came in a little better.  Definitely a few surprises again but these are a little better!

The 8s

The Hoerner is a thick card and I wasn’t surprised it only got an 8.  The Randy Johnson auto … it’s my second graded Big Unit.  The Oswald Peraza … it’s a short-print and really surprised it only got an 8.  When I got it, I knew it had SP written all over it so it got set aside.  Oh well.

A Nice Pair

I sent in two Tatis paper rookies that I got from a couple of Cheap Fun Breaks mystery boxes.  They both came back 9s.

Variety

The 2018 Turang was actually a Topps redemption that came back 10.  In 2022, I bought into a 100-case Pick-Your-Player Bowman Chrome break for Graham Ashcraft.  This was the best auto I hit.  The 2014 Mookie Betts rookie was just languishing in a box.  Druw Jones was nice to get a 9.

2018 Topps Archives Rookie Autos

Both of these 9s were redemptions.  Kinda.  The Palmer was.  The Robin Yount …. this was what Topps sent me for a 1-of-1 Francisco Lindor gold auto with a trashed corner from the same set.  Sooooo, yeah.  Still bitter.

Last = Best

Two Corbin Carrolls.  Not a fan of the Mega Box cards so the Futurist is getting sold  The Bowman’s Best might stay in my collection.  Two Ohtani’s:  An Archives rookie (9) and a 2023 Tier One.  The 2021 Sapphire Julio Rodriguez … whoa!  And the 2022 Bowman’s Best Elly was a redemption and dang…  Nice!

So yeah … this was a pretty good PSA shipment.
