New year, new webpage

Years ago, this was my webpage for posting cards I wanted and had available for trading. I built a macro-based Excel trading card database and, at the risk of bragging, it might have been my greatest programming effort. Not only did it track what I had, it had the power to auto-generate wantlists! I used it for probably eight years, give or take.

Eventually, I grew weary of building set lists manually. I bit the bullet and bought a subscription to Beckett and spent a lot (a LOT!) of time re-entering cards into their database. I let the ownership of my domains expire. And, well, this awesome macro went to join Woody, Jessie, and Buzz in the attic.

Now, we find ourselves in 2024 and with the new year, I have resolved to better focus my hobby pursuits. I won’t be dusting off the old Excel macro but I do plan on trying to have a weekly post. Maybe it will be my latest Beckett trade (one is in the works as we speak!). Maybe my latest receipts from or shipments to comc.com. Or, recycling my 1982 Topps Reds set, the worst team in Cincinnati history combined with my favoritest set.

Happy New Year!
